The Activity Shop staff is delighted to be offering two new guided tours for the summer of 2020, both sharing hidden gems of Blue Hill: A Pan Dance Paddle on select Monday nights and a tour of Blue Hill Harbor with a hike to a lovely waterfall overlook.
The protected Blue Hill Harbor offers a safe, tidal, saltwater experience. While it can get choppy if the wind picks up, for the most part it is more akin to a saltwater lake than the open ocean. It is dotted with several harbor islands that are exposed during low tide and only just pop above the surface during high tide.
This is a working harbor used by fishing vessels, sail boats, motor boats, marine life, and YOU!
The Activity Shop has been helping folks get on the water around the Blue Hill Peninsula for over 20 years. The owner/operator, Chris Muise, is a Registered Maine Guide, a Certified Wilderness First Aider, and an Eagle Scout! His love of paddling came from several 100 mile+ canoe trips back in the day. He has raised his children on both the saltwater and freshwater of Blue Hill Peninsula and is always eager to help other individuals and families enjoy time on the water.
Cosmos Siebert, your guide for these experiences, is also a Registered Maine Guide and a Certified Wilderness First Aider! Cos was raised on the Blue Hill Peninsula and has spent his life sailing, kayaking, and paddle-boarding around these waterways. He is a skilled and enthusiastic teacher and loves to help others see the beauty of this place.
This team is ready to help you experience and enjoy the nature of the Blue Hill Peninsula.
